About This Experience
Sydney Harbour is one of the world's few working fisheries with an opera house in the background. Kingfish run the channels. Bream hold on the structure. Most people never wet a line in it. The Private Fishing Charter is five hours doing exactly that. Rods rigged before you board, licences sorted, bait in the well, and a skipper who has fished these marks for years. Up to four guests. One skipper. Everything you need already on board.
Highlights
- Five hours on the marks: kingfish, bream, flathead and more
- All gear, fishing licences and bait included
- A skipper who knows where the fish hold
- Up to four guests; the vessel is yours alone
- Relaxed 9:30 AM starts, home by mid afternoon
- Departs from any wharf the vessel can service
What to Expect
You board at whichever wharf suits you. Rods are rigged, bait's aboard, and your fishing licence is already covered. You bring nothing but the crew.
Your skipper reads the tide and runs the marks: the channels where kingfish hunt, the drop-offs holding flathead, the moored hulls the bream never leave. Between bites, you're floating in the middle of the best-looking city view in the country.
Five hours later you're back at the wharf, arms tired, with the kind of day that ruins ordinary fishing spots for good.

- $1,975 total. Not per person, not per hour, not before fees.
- Local knowledge. A skipper who knows which marks fire on which tide.
- Private throughout. Four guests, one vessel, no shared deck.
- An honest five hours. Long enough to find the fish. Home by mid afternoon.
Frequently Asked Questions
Anywhere the vessel can service. Choose the wharf that works for your group when you book and the skipper will meet you there, rods already rigged.
No. Licences are covered by the charter, along with all rods, reels, tackle and bait. Turn up empty-handed and fish within minutes of leaving the wharf.
Sydney Harbour fishes better than most people expect: kingfish in the channels, bream and trevally on the structure, flathead over the sand, and tailor and salmon when the bait schools push in. The charter fishes inside the harbour only, not offshore, and your skipper works the marks that suit the tide and season.
Absolutely. The skipper rigs, baits and coaches as much or as little as you want. Kids and first-timers are welcome, and with four guests max everyone gets a rod and real attention.
Keep what's legal and eating-size if you like and the skipper will clean and bag it, or release everything. Your call, fish by fish.
The fish don't wait. Neither should you.
